Pilot bits VARIANT for drilling star

This pilot bit is an essential part of the VARIANT drilling set if its main drilling part is a Star.

The pilot bit ensures the correct guidance of the Star into the material.

• You can choose between two lengths.
• The shorter version is suitable for vertical drilling of solid materials.
• If you need to drill in corners, at an angle or in uneven material, use the longer drill.

Pay attention to the correct procedure of the drill bit assembly:

• Before mounting, clean the threads and if necessary, spread a thin layer of VARIANT grease.
• Screw the pilot bit into the Star as far as it will go, then screw the thread of the pilot bit into the VARIANT  flute body. Then tight the Star to the flute body.
• Make sure that the Star and the flute budy  do not act as a lock nut on the pilot bit.

Do not confuse with the VARIANT pilot bit designed for a hollow hammer core bit VARIANT.
