Step drills HSS-Co. TiAIN with spiral flute
Step drills are used for drilling cylindrical holes, which edges are at the same time knocked down by the next step.
Drilling into material up to 6 mm thick.
Design:
- cobalt content 5%
- Titanium-Aluminum-Nitride (TiAlN) coated
- drilling diameters are clearly marked on the individual steps
- provided with a spiral groove and a deburring zone
- the spiral groove ensures better chip removal and faster and calmer drilling
- the deburring part is used to deburr the underside of the processed material
- the tip is equipped with a split point - punching and drilling is completely eliminated
Advantages compared to HSS step drills:
- higher heat resistance
- faster drilling
- longer lifetime
- increased surface hardness
- no need to use threading oil
- the features of this tool remain even after regrinding
